Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This policy explains how Valden uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and, only with your consent, understand how Valden is used.
2. The cookies we use
- Strictly necessary.Required for Valden to function: keeping you signed in (Better Auth session cookies), remembering your cookie choice, and protecting against fraud. These can't be switched off, since Valden can't work without them.
- Preference. Remembers your dark/light mode choice and other display preferences.
- Analytics. With your consent, PostHog helps us understand which features are used and where people run into trouble, so we can improve Valden. No analytics cookies are set, and no analytics events are captured, until you accept them.
3. Your choices
When you first visit Valden, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. If you decline, only strictly necessary and preference cookies are used. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies for valdenhq.com in your browser settings, which will show the consent banner again on your next visit.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings directly, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to Valden.
4. Third-party cookies
When you accept analytics cookies, PostHog may set its own cookies to distinguish you from other users. We don't allow third parties to set advertising cookies on Valden. We don't run ads, and we don't sell your data.
5. Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date above if this policy changes. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information more broadly.
